Description

Meals on Wheels allows senior adults to remain living on their own even when they are no longer able to prepare hot, nutritional meals. Trained volunteers visit each weekday around noon, providing Brevard seniors with a hot meal, a friendly visit, and safety check. They can refer participants to additional services and can even initiate an emergency response if necessary.

Administers programs providing services to senior citizens and disabled adults. Includes: Meals on Wheels, Seniors at Lunch, Community Care for the Elderly & Disabled Adult, The Brevard Community Kitchen, Caregiver Support, Community Home Services, Shared Cost Program, Senior TranServe, and Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. Services include case management, homemaking, home improvement, transportation, meals, catering, and volunteering opportunities.
